2025 Was a Record-Breaking Year for Freebee

2025 marked our biggest year ever. With 1.94 million passengers served, communities across the country continued to rely on Freebee for safe, sustainable, and convenient transportation.

Year-over-year ridership climbed steadily, reflecting the growing demand for free, eco-friendly mobility in downtowns, neighborhoods, campuses, and tourism districts nationwide. Every ride represents another connection made, and another step toward reducing congestion and emissions in the places we serve.

Seven New Communities Came on Board

This year, Freebee expanded into seven new service zones, including our largest coverage area yet: all of Seminole County, Florida.

We were proud to launch in:

  • Opa-Locka, FL
  • Ballantyne, NC
  • Allapattah, FL
  • Plantation, FL
  • Wynwood BID
  • Miami Gardens, FL
  • Seminole County, FL

Each new zone represents a partnership with forward-thinking cities and organizations that share our mission of improving mobility while supporting local businesses and residents.

Expanding Our Services Across the Country

In addition to launching new zones, Freebee rolled out 19 new service areas in 2025, bringing transportation options to even more riders, destinations, and neighborhoods.

From senior services and downtown circulators to event transportation and tourism programs, communities continue to turn to Freebee as a flexible, reliable mobility solution. And we’re just getting started — more growth is already on the horizon for 2026.

A Bigger Network Than Ever Before

Thanks to an incredible year of growth, Freebee now operates:

  • 55 service areas
  • 400+ vehicles

This expanding fleet allows us to serve more riders every day while maintaining our commitment to clean, quiet, electric transportation. Every new vehicle means more access, more convenience, and more communities benefiting from smarter mobility.

One of the stars of 2025 was the Volkswagen iD Buzz.

With more than 50 iD Buzz vehicles added to our fleet this year, it quickly became a rider favorite—thanks to its spacious interior, eye-catching design, and zero-emission performance. You’ll be seeing a lot more of these iconic vans rolling through Freebee zones in the years ahead.
