Freebee Partners with GMCVB and City of Miami Beach to Offer Free Rides During Miami Spice

This summer, Freebee teamed up with the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) and the City of Miami Beach to make it easier—and greener—for locals and visitors to enjoy Miami Spice. The new partnership provides free, on-demand electric rides to more than 60 participating restaurants across South Beach through the end of September 2024.

Launched as part of the annual Miami Spice Restaurant Program, the service is designed to encourage diners to explore the city’s vibrant culinary scene without the stress of driving, parking, or waiting for valet. Riders can use the Ride Freebee app to request complimentary transportation to and from their Miami Spice destinations within the service area south of 17th Street.

“Our partnership with Freebee reaffirms our commitment to providing sustainable mobility solutions for our community,” said Miami Beach Commissioner Laura Dominguez in a quote featured in Secret Miami. “This new transportation service will not only reduce local traffic and long valet queues but also help drive business for our restaurants.”

Freebee vehicles are available seven days a week, with hours tailored to accommodate both lunch and dinner reservations. The service operates Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Fridays until midnight, and weekends from 11 a.m. into the evening.

Pickups and drop-offs are strategically located at several city-owned garages, including Collins Avenue and 13th Street, 7th and Collins, and near the Miami Beach Convention Center. This thoughtful design encourages more foot traffic to businesses while easing congestion in one of the city’s busiest dining districts.

In Time Out Miami’s coverage, GMCVB emphasized that this program not only enhances the guest experience but also supports economic development. By lowering transportation barriers, Freebee is helping more people participate in Miami Spice—many for the first time.

The partnership showcases how cities and tourism boards can come together to deliver a transportation experience that’s free, sustainable, and deeply rooted in community impact.

The Miami Spice Freebee service runs through September 30, 2024. To book a ride, simply download the Ride Freebee app and select the “South Beach – Miami Spice” zone.
