Freebee & the DDA's Free Electric Rides Now Cover Downtown Miami, Brickell, and Edgewater.
Miami just got a whole lot easier to get around.
In partnership with the Downtown Development Authority (DDA), Freebee is officially expanding its free, on-demand electric ride service to cover one of the largest zones in our history — connecting Downtown Miami, Brickell, and Edgewater into a single, seamless service area. And the timing couldn't be better: we're launching right as Miami Music Week brings thousands of visitors, music lovers, and locals out into the streets.
Whether you're hopping between venues, exploring the neighborhood, or just trying to get from point A to point B without the parking headache — Freebee has you covered. For free.

A Bigger Zone, Built for How Miami Actually Moves
This expansion isn't just about adding more miles to the map. It's about connecting three of Miami's most vibrant, fast-growing neighborhoods into one fluid experience.
Downtown Miami is the city's civic and cultural core — home to Bayside, the Adrienne Arsht Center, the Kaseya Center, and a growing residential population that deserves better mobility options.
Brickell has transformed into Miami's financial and lifestyle hub, packed with restaurants, rooftop bars, hotels, and residents who need to move around without getting stuck in traffic or hunting for parking.
Edgewater sits right between Downtown and Wynwood, a neighborhood on the rise with waterfront views, new developments, and a creative community that's been waiting for a reliable connection to the rest of the city.
Now, all three are linked — powered by Freebee's fleet of electric vehicles, operated on-demand, and completely free to ride.

Powered by the DDA: A Partnership Built for the Community
This expansion is made possible through our partnership with Miami's Downtown Development Authority, an organization committed to making downtown Miami more accessible, vibrant, and economically strong for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.
Free transportation removes one of the biggest friction points in urban mobility: cost. When people don't have to think about parking fees, Uber surge pricing, or bus schedules, they explore more. They stay longer. They spend locally. That's good for riders, good for businesses, and good for the entire downtown ecosystem.
The DDA understands that mobility is economic development — and this partnership reflects exactly that vision.

What This Means for Downtown Miami's Future
This expansion is part of a larger story Freebee has been building for over a decade: the idea that cities work better when people can move freely, sustainably, and without financial barriers.
We've served nearly 2 million passengers. We've launched in neighborhoods from Wynwood to Opa-Locka, from Bradenton to Seminole County. And every time we expand, we see the same thing happen: communities come alive, local businesses see more foot traffic, and residents feel more connected to the places they call home.
